successfulblackman
I was very impressed with his play against team Canada last nigh even though they lost 7-1. He is a big man standing at 6'5 209 pounds. HE has great wheels, positioning, and defensive play. He is the kind of player that is going to shut down your top line, but can make the passes and shots to put up the occasional point. I think that he would be a great addition to our prospect pool. http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/juniorhockey/blog/buzzing_the_net?keyword=Team+Sweden http://www.whl.ca/article/dave-sutter-joins-team-switzerland http://www.seattlethunderbirds.com/roster/show/id/6718 http://www.hockeysfuture.com/articles/12621/2011_wjc_history_and_strong_character_suggest_switzerland_cant_be_overlooked/ The is he a drafty or can we sign him? I would sign him, but only at an AHL/minor level deal. give him the same deal as carter bancks; you work hard and play well, and we'll bump you up to a full entry-level contract. at this point in time, I wouldn't want to waste one of our 50 contracts for a guy who seems destined for Europe. successfulblackman
am i the only one holding back a swiss chocolate joke? Hi as a black man I am tired of being suppressed by you white people... Just kidding  it's not often you see a swiss hockey player who happens to be black....not that I'm complaining. he's obviously one of the top young players from his country, and that isn't even taking into consideration all the verbal abuse he must have put up with. that being said, it's his last year of eligibility, and he hasn't been lighting up the whl with his play. most free agents out of the junior leagues happened to have a strong season and get signed after being passed over in the draft. sutter has been a piece of his whl team, but nothing more than that. if he were the centerpiece of the team, i would say differently. but he's not a stellar junior player. He has great positioning. points aren't every thing, but I see where you're coming from. I am not sure if we have a 6th or a 7th round pick, but if we do, then I will select him 6th or 7th over all. IF not, then sign him to try out bases, and see what happens.
geos
He is a tall guy, but kind of lanky. Needs to fill out. And tonight he was awful, some terrible turnovers. I agree against Russia he was pretty solid, but the nerves were showing tonight. I'd need to see more before making a call on him because ya, there were some definite positives in his game against Russia. If we're looking at acquiring a box of Swiss players, Hofmann, Bertaggia, Bertshy and Vermin are all decent forwards and in terms of defense both Marti and Trutmann have been better than Sutter. I often use ''black man'' as I don't think it's offensing at all. And I am both black and African-born so don't worry

geos
Last Swiss game, after a Sutter hit, someone in the crowd yelled out "Nice hit Darryl!" Couldn't stop laughing.
