Head Out To The Gulag(khl)


Should Brody, Mikkleson and Breen head out to the KHL for seasoning against higher skilled players than AHL?

just to clarify, Giordano never played in the KHL. He played in it's predecessor, the Russian Super League.

Playing against better players is never a bad thing. The KHL is arguably the second best league in the world, so playing against players of that caliber can't be an entirely bad thing for a developing player. And when one is that far from home, one has to grow up a lot #maturity.

that said, the Flames shouldn't make a habit of doing this. It creates the risk of losing players to teams that might be willing to pay them more.
