It was a dang good 1 that was spread over a few days. B-B-Q @ a buddy's on Labor Day, went to the old home town Thur.to hook up with cousins/old friends & had family over Friday. All nice quiet days (I am old after all) spent with people I care about.

There were a few beers but way less than those I'd have in 1 day when I was younger & wilder.

Thanks guys. It felt strange not being able to check in to see what's new.

Merry Christmas. I hope you have a great 1 with family & friends.

Mine is spread out over a week or 2 these days as time has us living in different parts of the province but the bonus is you can concentrate on the 1s you are with that day rather seeing everyone @ once so never having enough time for any. It's quality time spead out so you get the quantity broken into managable amounts. It's way different than having everyone seated around the same table but the conversations last longer as you don't feel you need to see everyone in a short time. My paternal family was so big we used to rent a hall about a week before for a gathering so we could have smaller 1s with immediate family on the actual Dec. 25. Those were intense as you wanted to see everyone during those few hours.

Again. enjoy but be careful out there. You may play it smart but there's always those that assume they are sober enough to drive when they can barely stagger.

Tomorrow will be a tough game against St. L. I hope the Flames win that & then kick the Habs Fri. so we are all going Christmas mode beaming.

As you can see I care enought to do the process but it is a pain.

Maybe if I just alter my favorites with the new hit spot it might work but now I'm using 5 steps for what was 1 yesterday.

Just an interesting tidbit. I was almost born in the states. A week before my actual birth my parents were in N Dakota to catch a movie (I grew up 6 miles from the border) & Mom went into false labor. Dang, I was that close to having dual citizenship for the best 2 countries.

Mine lasted 3 days.

Not what it sounds like. 1 day with friends/neighbors, another with family (including rugrats) & 3rd with other friends that are like family. Distance made the days separate.

Unlike the days of my misspent youth where 3 days were 3 straight days of party hearty. I thought back on those days but decided I couldn't survive trying to re-live my 20s/30s.

I do remember Pyro. I was in high school & most school mates bought into the Leafs being "English Canada's Team" so I bet against them. Lost a few $s but nothing serious.
