Well, the plus minus is a terrible stat. Monahan has 8 PP points, so he wouldn;t move the needle much. Dube has 1 PPP and is even. Even though he played with Mangiapane, he still didn;t get above zero. I think the lacl of production has a lot to do with the RW. Have to find the right fit. Ruzicka-Monahan-Dube could be something. Not that MOnahan has been good, just that some players just don;t work. A LHS C and a LHS LW. The RW should be the benefitiary, but Pitlick has been cold. Get Dube there. He can streak down the ice with Ruzicka. Monahan can trail and be responsible.

They only have one problem on the PP. They don't finish. Not sure if what I suggest fixes it. We have so few guys that can actually take a hard accurate shot. It's still a tendency for the young guys like Ras and Kylington. The idea is sound, but you are lessening your chance by adding one more pass in there. Kylington has a glorious chance to score one, but he passed off to Monahan. Monahan used to be deadly in that area. Now, not so much. On the PP, we are still setting up almost entirely from Gaudreau on LW. We end up with the same two looks. Pass to net side bumper out to slot. Set up Lindy on RW for one timer. Both are good ideas, but low chance of being open when the defending team collapses to the middle. Gaudreau has no angle nor does Lindholm. If we are using that setup, reverse the spots. I think it would help the 2nd unit by moving out one of the top guys to the 2nd. Bring in a lefty to like Mangiapane for the slot. Tkachuk parks in the crease area and behind the net. Ras pivots in the middle at the point. We only use the behind the net pass initially. Have Ras feed either Lindholm on LW or take the shot. I would even consider using Ras on the 2nd unit and bringing in Kylington. The 2nd unit is Monahan and Backlund and Lucic or Dube in the crease. Have Ras on point and Haifin on LW.

We have to do something with the lines. The Monahan line is missing a spark. We have a top scoring (AHL level) player practicing. Dube is doing nothing positive. As far as the D, Zaddy is killing us in some games. We can't afford simple mistakes that end up in the net. While Zaddy was not the one responsible for the first goal, he was one for the tieing one. Too many easy giveaways. He's been good for about 50% of his games, so we need better out of him. Lucic unlikely to face discipline, so it has to be a sutter choice. Richardson or Pitlick out, Ruzicka in. Zaddy out, Valimaki in. We can't keep losing these 4 point games against the West. One point against the Pacific. Five against the West. Home record sucks with 3-2-3.

We should really hold back pulling the goalie until after the faceoff. Or have a 2nd C out there.

About as perfect a shot as you could expect. Considering how tall he is, he's small when he's going side to side. I would suggest that this one is probably toast. Helly has been a rock.
