  1. For sures. Ya know he is the most consistent. Just need some passes in the slot.
  2. 78% faceoffs in favor of the Flames so far. Backlund 75% Monahan 88% Lindholm 63% Jarnkrok 100% Kadri 20%
  3. I know it a close game so far, maybe slight advantage for Flames on chances. Sutter will like the result, even though it's tied.
  4. At least we don't have the one sided refs from the the BOA game.
  5. See they are targeting Johnny. Time to show them some hate.
  6. Love that Monahan is winning his draws. Have to do stuff like this with Lucic on your line.
  7. Pretty even start. Flames tight on the details in their zone, though I didn't like Newhook getting that shot with nobody bothering him Hanifin and Lindholm covering the guy screening the goalie.
  8. Let the tour continue.... Next up Kadri... http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0092/3762/6960/products/1025414_7c0a07ee-051b-4d52-a206-9bbd7efeaadc_1200x630.jpg?v=1580512714
  9. The league is bigger than the owners though. Bettman is there to grow the game and sell it to advertizers. The SCF is hard to compete with other things in sports for television share. Bettman only wanted the NHL out of the Olympics because he felt the NHL was losing out on $$. China should have been huge for $$, but it got messed up by COVID. But anyway, it's easier to sell when the games are on prime time.
  10. She gets a rise out of me every time. Sometimes I feel like a heel.
  11. Mandy Pane. She is a pain in the loaf.
  12. The owners would like that, but the league and NHLPA absolutely wan to be in the Olympics. For some players, it's the only chance they will get in their career for any greatness. For Bettman, it draws a ton of interest worldwide. More money.
  13. Interesting they didn't call that at all. Kane got 3 penalties in a row. 1:38 Interference 4:32 Tripping 6:47 Tripping The way I read it was his next shift after each penalty was a penalty. An this is a team that almost never gets called for it's BS play. The good thing for EDM is that a win over the weakest team on that team's 2nd in two days, is considered to be erasing all memory of the debacle they call the BOA. Suddenly, they eliminated all the issues and got great goaltending. Problem solved. They have a pretty easy path to the playoffs from here on in. Cushy schedule. 1 B2B remaining.
  14. To me 3 years doesn't benefit the Flames. I get he may want the bigger contract in 3 years time, but I would do everything possible to avoid it. We should look at Tkachuk's last contract and steer clear of something like that. Offer the extra year or two to bring down the AAV. Otherwise, year 3 will look like Tkachuk's.
  15. We need to spank them. Take it out on them for the playoff loss years back. They are still a scary team without Nate, but he is the lifeblood of the team. Kadri still annoys me more than Nate, so I would be targeting him. He loses his Satoshi Nakamoto as much or more. Can sucker him into a penalty. Cogs is still a good PK'er. Lehkonen gets his first game tonight, on the new 2nd line. Not sure what this team is without both Landeskog and MacKinnon.
  16. I think the top unit is fine. The 2nd unit needs help. Last game was Coleman (or Jarnkrok)-Dube-Backlund-Mangiapane-Hanifin. I would sub in Monahan for Dube, for the extra strong C. Or put him in for Backlund and sub Kylington for Dube. One thing we just don't have enough of is RHS's on the PP. Keeping Jarny in there makes sense. Prefer Kylington's puck movement from the blueline. He rarely loses possession. And can beat anyone in a race back to our zone.
  17. We were an attack on the rush team under BH and Gully and BP. Fall asleep at the wheel under Wardo. Tkachuk hasn't fit the game we play until we changed it. Backlund was transition but not a ton of speed.
