  1. It's all well and good to suggest that they need to go to the net. There was little room to get the puck there. Can't go up the middle very often. The Oilers collapsed into the middle when we got guys there. Te Oilers were able to get separation by draw a sucker away from the front. Finding a gut uncovered. We didn't have that luxury. Our D stunk up the first 4 games, and was only okay with Tanev out there. Imjured and all. We can survive with the top pair we had, plus Guddy. We couldn't do it with Kyl alone with his thoughts and Zaddy playing odd minutes and pairs. We got away from what made us the best team at holding a lead after one. Brutality. Constanst pressure. Cycling. Attacking. Very much a passive set of games against the Oilers. Push until you tire out, then try to stay in the game.
  2. Backlund really brought his game this series. Tanev, as expected had: Torn labrum Separated shoulder Strained neck
  3. And yet we won 2/4 with each home team winning. That 9-5 game was a back half of a B2B set with Marky playing both. The win for us before that was a 3-1 win. Game 1 win for EDM was literally game 1. Game 2 win was a tie game and Poolparty picked Kylington. Allowed Draisaitl to walk past Tanev. Context is key when looking at the regular season stats. It means nothing. Perhaps we should have started Vladar during the regular season more against the Oil. Protect your starter and don't run him too many games down the stretch. It was a tough schedule and Marky faltered at the wrong time. He really needed a sweep to keep him fresh for this series.
  4. And that's the point. COL was always the fave. We could have made a series of it, but I think we would have to play like we did against Dallas. Losing Tanev killed our defense. I doubt I will watch any of the COL series (assume they get by STL). Far more interesting (and better called) games in the East. SN will be more one sided than they were in this series. Lick McD's butt a little more, he's chafed. As far as RFA's etc. Tkuchuk will probably reveal he needs surgery. Tanev probably requires surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff. Hanifin might have a hangnail. Sign the guys we need. Bread, Tkachuk and Gaudreau. Decide whether to ttrade Kylington after a breakout season. Don't re-sign Zaddy unless it's for $2m or less. Guddy if at all posible for the same. Trade Hanifin and Dube. Monahan, not really sure what to do there. Jarnkrok is fine, and maybe for $1.5M or less he comes back. Ask Lucic to retire after you give him his bonus money. Consider Lewis for one more year.
  5. Game 2 called right and it's not even a series. They needed the refs to get an advantage. And yes they took it and we got too PO'd about it to score on our chances.
  6. Well, it really doesn't matter who was at fault in this game. It was lost before we got here. Hanifin will need to go along with Lucic. We can't keep guys that keep getting scored on when they are on the ice. How many was Lucic out there for. How many was Hanifin? Almost $10M spent on minus players iin the series. I would sooner keep Monahan than Hanifin and Lucic. Let him retire with grace. Hanifin might get us closer to a Chychrun. A real #1.
  7. Want to thank RD for the MVP season of GDT's. We lost when we got jobbed in Game 2. This was just more of the same, but too late to get a strong finish to the series.
  8. They ruined the game and ended the series. Farewell Flames fans.
  9. Do that voodoo that you do so well, Johnny Hockey.
  10. I'm not sure I saw this happen in real time, but I remember another exactly the same. Rules a goal by good old TO. Again, they ruined a good game. It wasn't deciding the game but sure ruined either a comeback or an EN goal. It will be garbage that decides this one.
  11. Seeing as none of the refs play the game and TO doesn't either, it seems like SN is making a case based on what they do or have done. The rule changed from when they played.
  12. Yeah right SN, he kicked it in. Distinct is the word. I've seen so many times they allow that even when you direct it in.
  13. I am so done with these zebras defining the game by their wishy washy calls. Call this, not that. Oilers would have challenged it if they allowed it. Goalie interference or offside.
  14. Of course it goes in. I don't think his skate even propelled it forward. Maybe a skatepick on it at most.
  15. What a motherBlockchaining poor call from these motherBlockchaining bozos. Whether it was TO or on ice, it was Blockchaining bullSatoshi Nakamoto.
  16. He had to put his skate down to stop from falling. What nonsense.
