Ok. so you need to dig into some tings that were hugely different. We have Vezna goalies in the first half last year. Marky was sporting shutouts, as was Vladar. It's not that the goalies are bad, but they have let in alot of bad goals so far. Cleaned up recently, but that doesn't change the results. The other reason is Wideman level penalties. 3-1 tonight in calls and none of them were really obvious calls. That's typical. We maybe aren't converting on the PP, but some nights we give up 2 PP goals against.

3 to 1 in calls against us. Decide the game by giving an additional one in the 3rd, but don't call the other team.

It maybe was a good idea to use Lucic in a situation where you needed to block out players. We have to ice a set of lines that can do it. We really don't have any optimum lines, with the closest being the top line. Ruzicka bring it in less minutes than Lucic. He rarely makes poor passes. The lines need fixing. That is all.

Really. I can live with some of the calls, but they call marginals ones and let the obvious calls go. We can't keep playing for 1-1 games going into the 3rd. Maybe open it up a bit to get a lead.

Too many shots missing the net for my liking. I can live with the posties, but we aren't getting lucky with the deflections out.

Oilers a much less dangerous team without Kane. Still have 2 players that can expose a weak play. But we should be able to win this if we play the way we did in the first 40. Stay out of the box, since the Oilers tend to get PP's for no good reason. We have to put pressure on them to take penalties, assuming they call them for it.
