Some nice adjustments from the Flames in that period and starting to get some chances off of it. would like to see the urgency come up and some of these chances gotta get burried but it’s there for them.

I agree Markstrom has not been good in the series but I still see no benefit to Vladar not do I think it will change a thing. Going to Vladar isn’t going to improve their puck management. the flames have no answers for the Oilers are playing them. Vladar isn’t going to fix that

Not the start you want if you Calgary. Even put the score aside they are not any cleaner in the neutral zone no adjustment on their dump ins. Still taking dumb penalties. j was expecting a much better game so this is pretty worrisome

I'm hearing the same. Whoever is responsible for scheduling at the dome should be getting a pay raise with this news. I'm curious to see the price point but if they are kid friendly I could image going to a few games. Would be cool the see the prospects and watch better hockey than the Hitmen. Nothing against the Hitmen of course just the AHL is more skilled. Heat tickets were not very much ($20-40) but it also wouldn't shock me if the increase the price. I would be a big fan of the Wranglers. The vintage stuff they put out when the Hitmen did that Coral game looked very cool.

I mean let's also point out that they have one of the most talented teams in the league, one of the deepest too (thanks to another shrewd trade deadline) and the league's best goalie. Can watch as much video as you want, sometimes a team is just better than you are.

What has been rumored for a few weeks is now official. The Heat, Flames top farm team, will no longer player in Stockton and will relocate to Calgary effective next season. No word on where they will play yet and more details to come as per the press release but the farm team is now right in the city for the Flames. Also not confirmed is that they will stay the "Heat". Rumors are a name change is being considered.

Hanifin has been the biggest disappointment for me in the playoffs. Every time you think maybe he has the ability to take a step forward he fails to do so. I wasn't a fan of his series against Dallas either. He was the guy you would be really hoping would step up in Tanev's absence and hasn't come close to it at all.

For me the problem is in the o zone. The oilers have done a really good job of keeping a 3rd forward high because they know the flames want to use the points and by having that forward high it’s limited their ability to use their dmen. So they generate low quality and it’s usually one and done because the oilers are winning the battles and it’s also caused flames to look more east-west and those passes are what is resulting in odd man rushes. I think the only way you are limiting McDavid in this series is by not letting him have the puck. Flames need to fix their forecheck for that to happen.

I have no reason to believe that playing Vadar increases their chances of winning so go with the better goalie and the guy who got you here. playing Vladar has no logic to it. It’s a “let’s try it and see what works” type of choice and j see no reason to do that.

I personally think any consideration of Vladar is silly. Markstrom should start and will start.

We’ll the positive is that is probably the worst game flames have played in some time. So Their odds of playing better on Tuesday are high. going to need some adjustments and a much better effort. This was never a game tonight.
