We are needing: a number #1 center. We need a top Right winger We need a short term mentor goaltender for Wolf. Must be average or better for a couple of years. (this assumes Wolf can become "the One")

The problem is..... Look at Buffalo. How has that tanking been doing for them? Look at Flames and tell me how well we did with selling off Iggy and JBow? and who did we end up with "that plays" from those two trades and the picks? The people who own the team don't want tanking. They want competitive team.

Add to that..... How many Goalies did we go through after Kipper? Just trying to find one that would work... Almost as big a search as trying to find Iggy a center he could play with.

Great work from his agent if he is pushing him a direction that will get him less money.... He wouldn't be my agent positioning me to get the least amount of offers.

Today the grown up Kipper Kid now does artwork. Including goalie masks. He was able to present Kipper with one he crafted for him. Shows you how great the Calgary Fan can be.

Like I said somewhere else on forums.... It never should have been reported out to anyone that he was asked to waive his no move clause for a Devils deal....... Until the Deal was complete.

I think my strongest memory at this time is his "heel save". See Brews 2nd video above.

When you consider we are likely losing 2 of our top 4 D (Hanifin - Tanev) It becomes more important. Read an article today that said Tanev might be getting offered an extension. When you consider how the team plays when he is injured then an extension might not be so bad.

Well we are poised to pick 9th overall unless someone gets lucky and jumps over us. Our team diff of -8 tells me we are a middling team or slightly below. Playoff teams should have +25 or better team diff at end of regular season. Sometimes there is an outlier but ..... There is also little doubt in my mind that the Markstrom trade that broke down at last minute is a big factor why we are playing poorly now. I am wondering why he was asked to waive his ntc before the GM's had totally agreed on the price and cost of trade. I guess we need a core to lead this team. Backs is a leader but not really a core piece. Where are the big money guys to take us on their shoulders and push us through these tough spots. Not sure it is fair to heap "all of this" on the new guys or rookies. Other than one really good year the Flames have been wandering in the desert of mediocrity for many many years.
