MinnesotaWildFan00
No like i mean like I live in Hamilton and it's hard to follow whl teams so the only chance i have to follow them is the net and i was just courious of which players you think will be leftt unprotected in the expansion draft
Mapex
Here is what I found that might help you out. Expansion teams can pick 1 player from existing WHL teams.WHL team will be permitted to protect either 14 players born in 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, or protect 12 players born in 1987, 1988, 1989 and three over-age players (1986). Players born in 1990 and 1991 are exempt. I'll try and find a bit more later

That leaves: Covington Leblanc Yeo Also, I'm guessing they won't protect Petterssen since he'll likely end up either in the AHL or NHL. But they also have 8 natural centers on the roster so they may leave some of them unprotected. However, it all depends on which 16/17 year olds the Hitmen see as stepping in next year. Honestly, it's tough to tell at this point. Regarding Falk, Reid and Kelner- none of them are presently with the Hitmen.
