Can Flames take some credit for Oilers losing in playoffs?

It felt like the world became right again after Anaheim knocked out the Oilers last week and it got me thinking. Many thought that team had as good or better shot as any to get to the final and to even win it but after the loss only questions remained about why they lost.  McNugget slowing down, refs out to get them, running up the score and pissing off Anaheim, 6m men failing to show up, etc etc. But I put to everyone that maybe if the Oilers had someone we took from them like Versteeg who had a good season, playoffs and is a clutch player that maybe they win the Pacific and maybe they go all the way. So in a way, I think we can take some responsibility for their failure this year which in this offseason of waiting for next season feels like a pretty good thought.
