Kulstad
Interesting article on the Leafs ranking here --> https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/eh-game/toronto-teams-strike-out-in-espn-poll-203026677.html The table at this link compiles all professional sports teams (NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB) and and ranks each team accordingly between franchises --> http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/teamrankings If you filter the table for NHL, it's interesting to see where the Flames fall to. I don't think I'd put them as low as they are, but then again I don't think I'd rank them too much higher, either.
Mike_Oxlong
I had been meaning to look at this article for awhile. There are a number of ways to interpret this data as it relates to the Flames. ON-ice product for the last few years translates to poor bang-for-the-buck and Stadium experience is also a weak spot. As our best prospects develop into bona-fide NHL'ers (and hopefully stars), BNG will vastly improve as will the STX. After all, if the team is doing well it's easier to have a good time at the game. PLA and TTR will rise accordingly once the team begins to achieve success. I'm surprised at the numbers for Fan Relations and Ownership as I've always seen these two areas as strengths for our team and how integrated into the community it is. Not sure why we rank so low.
