RUS
Caps announce they've traded Cody Eakin and 2nd rounder (no. 54 overall) to Dallas for center Mike Ribeiro. a very good center in the second line!
Zirakzigil
Surprised he went so cheap. Good player who is arguably a first line center.
Crzydrvr
Surprised he went so cheap. Good player who is arguably a first line center. Dallas was trying to sell him off, but nobody took the bait so they got rid of him on the cheap. Goes to show that market value doesn't mean diddly-squat unless someone actually wants him. Definitely shows that the Stars plan on rebuilding. Although this makes them that much weaker up the middle, and that was already a problem area for them. I don't know how smart it is to rely on a converted winger as your number 1 pivot, especially when he's still learning the position at the NHL level. Sorry, it just reminded me of a team that might be putting their faith in a converted LW that has 0 NHL games & a top 6 winger that is exactly that.
