I want us to vote and decide the winners for the major NHL awards. Let's see if we can get pretty close to the actual winners.

We will be voting for:

Hart Trophy

Norris Trophy

Vezina Trophy

Jack Adams Award

Calder Trophy

Selke Trophy

The Format for voting is like so. You will name the top 5 for each award. Players will get points based on being ranked top 5 for each voter. Please name 5 players (only name 3 for Vezina and Jack Adams) for each category or I will not count your vote.

I will track the results in a spreadsheet and post results after the voting ends (might as well keep going until the Awards happen, or interest in voting stops).

As the first person to place a LEGITIMATE VOTE, here's my voting numbers.

-Knocked Stammer down a few pegs, simply because while he as gunning for 60 he didn't do a whole lot other than score. It's great and all to have numbers, but the way teammates passed up good chances for him.... He seemed to be more focused on personal milestones than the team thing. Plus the Lightning missed the postseason.

-Chara's my number 1 defender, followed by Pietrangelo (and not far behind him, Shea Weber). I didn't put Karlsson as high because he's not the best defenseman at his position. This is not the Art Ross, it's more like the Selke. Prowess AT BOTH ENDS.

Homer vote for Brian Campbell, he's definitely a major reason for the Panthers' turn-around.

-Rinne gets the short end of the stick in the Vezina. People will remember his postseason tank job, and as far as regular season goes he was not Jonathon Quick or Henrik Lundqvist dominant.

-Dave Tippett does more with less than any other coach in the league. Who says you need a number 1 centre to be a championship contender? Their best centre scored 34 points this regular season. Their highest scoring centre scored 37 points after coming over in a trade from the worst team in the NHL. That says a lot.

-RNH probably should have stolen this award back in February except for the fact that Edmonton's young guns can barely keep themselves on the ice without blowing out a shoulder or getting stepped on by their own teammates.

-This one is a lot closer. Really liked the O'Reilly pick as well out of Don's list. Firmly believe that Mikko Koivu is the most underrated two-way player in the NHL. Brooks Laich also impressed. Bergeron is the favorite, but I don't think it's that much of a difference between him and the 7 or 8 guys fighting behind him.
