the flames always have excuses, first excuse will be "well we had lots of injuries" or "kipper needed rest" or "the officials screwed us with some bad calls", anyways i just wanna clear one thing up, excuses are hard to believe when u missed 3 seasons in a row, u can't blame 3 seasons in a row on injuries, i really think some of these posts are guys on the flames organization trying to smooth things over, it's not going to work fans are tired of excuses we want results.

I remember Don Cherry making this same argument when the Isles vs. Devils game decided whether the Leafs would make the playoffs or the Islanders a few yrs back. The Islanders won in a shootout against a backup. But Cherry was dead serious. Teams don't owe anything to anyone but themselves. Sharks have already clinched the division. And the Blues are way out of the playoff picture. Their decisions make perfect sense.

Nothing was wasted. The last 2 months have been a lot of fun. It's too bad it had to end like this. Hopefully our new management can make some crucial tweaks that'll make us stronger next year.

That's the thing, he didn't need to be playing hockey "too hard" at that point. We were not under pressure to tie the game, nor was the play in our own end. We were on the offensive in possession of the lead with a few minutes remaining in regulation. Bourque needed to do two simple things - play smart and play discpinllined. Not play "too hard". Extremely selfish and stupid on his part.

I posted a little tid bit about Cammalleri on the Darryl Sutter thread and didn't really get any response. I'm still wondering if I'm alone in my thinking; do you think Cammalleri is worth his $6M cap hit?

Maybe 2 seasons ago after playing with the Flames, he was worth 6 million. But his time in Montreal thus far has been quite disappointing given his cap hit. 86 points in 117 games for a player who is paid to score is definitely not worth it.

IT costs too much to go to a hockey game these days. They always demand un faltering support but make it completely un affordable.... doesnt even matter how good/bad they are playing. When I watched the IceTigers in the DEL, $47 put me on the glass...I cant even get a nose bleed here for that at the moment. I guess people that arent rich, aren't allowed to love the Flames

Comparing the DEL to the NHL isn't even like comparing the CFL to the NFL. Unfortunately, price is determined by the market. Between 97-03, I never paid more than 50 dollars for seats that are now well over 100. Tell me how much it costs to go to a Bundesliga game? Besides, you don't have to necessarily be able to attend games to love a team. In a sense, if tickets are expensive it means the team has a solid fanbase. Still haunted by those three games in Dec. Dec 18-21 - 2 games against the Wild and one against the Jackets. We lost all three and if we had won them we would be in 9th spot and gunning for the final spot *sigh*
