  1. Considering the intensity, you would almost think the Flames were playing for a playoff spot. (sarcasm off)
  2. I like how they had a camera on the NHL War Room while they watch TV.
  3. Uggg, 2nd name doesn't belong in the same paragraph
  4. No point really. Give Stoney his last game perhaps. Any reason why the Flames pinched so bad they let Gregor waltz in like that?
  5. Wait for the PP, probably get to see Lucic, Lewis and Hubey together.
  6. Maybe we can get a commentator change for next year. #FireFrancis
  7. Depends on the coach, now doesn't it. Same coach, same issues. BT got caught short with Valimaki. He was expected to push for a spot. Coach had no interest in that at all. Could have waived Stone or Mackey but they were Sutter choices.
  8. How many here and at games booed this team.? All you need to do is watch a presser and see how out of touch the coach is. And look at #FireSutter.
  9. I was really excited to see him play. Once he got scratched, he lost his reason for playing it seems. Just another victim of the Sutter regime.
  10. What would make sense from an owner perspective is to actually listen to the fanbase. Nobody is saying great job coach. You want to make changes, give the GM one year extension. Part ways with the coach and let him make decisions as to the direction. He has to make tough decisions this summer. If he can't do that, don't extend him and bring in a POHO to decide what to do. The direction we are currently headed in is all wrong. You can't continue the in one out one performances. If the goalie is toast, o something about it. If the results are related to goalie or head coach decisions, then get rid of the coach(s).
  11. Looks like the lines tonight are: Dube-Lindholm-Toffoli Huberdeau-Backlund-Mangiapane Pelletier-Kadri-Coronato Lucic-Lewis-Coleman Hanifin-Andersson Zadorov-Weegar Stecher-Stone So, the scratches are: Duehr, Ritchie, Ruzicka, Tanev, Vladar So Sutter-ish. I suppose it makes sense to have Markstrom back up the rookie, give him some bad ideas. Just kidding, you probably want the vet in his corner. Lucic and Lewis's last games as Flames (we can only hope). No hockey for you Ruzicka.
  12. Need Buff to win out and NAS to do the same.
  13. I am still banking on 13th, but that looks remote. Yes, we can move up 10.
  14. Waiting to see where Coronato plays in the lineup. Wolf expected to start. It's going to be a rough night for Wolf. There might be some excitement with the team having the kids get a shot. Or there could be a big letdown after being eliminated. Since it's a nothing game, please try a line like you practiced: Pelletier-Ruzicka-Coronato Sit Lucic, Lewis and Ritchie. Bump up Duehr to Kadri line. At least pretend that you have some plan for next season.
  15. Let's face it, we can't ice the same team. We have cap challenges. No raise to Ritchie unless we move Backlund and/or Hanifin. Like you say, Hanifin is not the problem so much as playing him like a #2. As a #2, paying him Weegar money makes no sense. If Kylington comes back, then it makes even more sense to move Hanifin. Younger player, still growing his NHL skills. Was better with Hanifin.
  16. Think positively. We shall win the lotto and jump to 3-6th.
  17. Buffalo still has an outside chance of passing the Flames. Currently, we sit at 91 with one left. NYI is ahead of us with 91 and one left. NAS with 90 and 2 games left. Pitts with 90 and one left. BUF is 87 with 2 games left. Either NYI or PITTS will pass us by virtue of being a playoff team. If both do, then we are 15th. If NAS does, then 14th. If BUFF does, then 13th. But we are the Flames. Guaranteed that whichever team that doesn't push past us will win the lotto and get a low overall pick. Or worse, we pick up one or two points and jump out of the spot that gets the lotto win.
  18. Sure, because we used him as depth with players not good enough. He was never going to carry a line, but he was playing well before the injury. Imagine if he was the C for Huberdeau, who was very much a replacement for who set up Monahan before. SO, if we had kept him and he was trending well (and not injured), he might have been a difference maker or a trade asset at TDL. It looks like his new injuries are unrelated to what ailed him before. Foot injury, followed by needing groin surgery (that's a kick in the nuts). Anyway, what's done is done.
  19. Wranglers and Flames both play Wednesday, so we should see the official recall for Wolf in the morning. It's a shame to play Wolf with this team, especially now. Happy to see him start, assuming he isn't dicked around.
  20. I don't have any idea of when this all took place so the timing is anyone's guess. It didn't exactly sound like solif detailed reporting, so even though I believe it, I dont't know when. The Kadri signing and Monahan trade were lined up together. If you had the opportunity to trade Backlund and keep Monahan as a younger player, why trade away a 1st. Anyway, the speculation will ramp up this summer.
  21. Well he had Mange all of last year basically. So this year he doesn't even get that. Lewis or other scraps.
