that might be true, but if the defensive game of the whole team was clicking, the win - loss column would have look that much better.. and the problem with our weak save precentage is, we are giving up too many quality chances every game, where it`s mostly about the opposite team skill to capitalize on them, not the skill of our goalie to save them.. when you give up 15 - 20 qty chances every night, how can you expect your goalie to not let any of them in? it`s crazy to think it`s possible, it really is..

if Bob Hartley was ever to lose his job, I think it should be to you stealing it from him.. I`m sorry man, but you should really realize that no matter who would we had in the net, the way our whole team was playing in D zone, we would have lost anyway.. one or two weak goals do not lose you a game, if it`s not in the last 2 minutes like against the Jets.. it seems to me like some of you guys expect our goalies to make saves aspiring for Save of the Year on a daily basis.. and funny thing is, they actually already DID make couple of them ! I dare to say, we do have exactly the same goaltending we did last year, but it`s being exposed and left on its own due to defensive breakdowns every single game.. we could either fix the defense, or start scoring 5 goals or more every game [it works for Dallas most of the time].. really, goaltending is not THE issue, it`s just one piece of the puzzle, but not the biggest one..

why exactly, please? because he let 5 goals, of which only ONE can really be blamed on him? this is getting ridiculous, what other options does BH have? Ortio, who was literally disgraced in his latest start, and again, mostly by our terrible team defensive play ? couple of games ago, everyone here seem to want BH give couple of games in a row to one goalie and see if he can ride with it and now, after Ramo`s win followed by a loss we want yet another change?? and what if Ortio loses the next game, will you want to start Ramo again and get the whole team in the exactly same situation which was here at the start of the season [win the game and you`ll start the next one?] this is as absurd as you wanting BT to fire Hartley for the goaltending rotation..let`s not forget it was BT who put Hartley in such situation.. if for anything Hartley should be warned [not fired, OMG], it should be for him being unable to have his players get their heads out of their a$$holes finally and DEFEND properly in our zone !! I will repeat myself, but we cannot blame any of our goalies for the outcomes of most games [yes they all managed to allow terrible goals almos every game], but most of our allowed goals are because we are playing horrendous defensive game, without any aggression, without challenging the guy with the puck, without punishing them in our crease.. and, nobody seem to point this so far, but almost all of our forwards are playing exceptionally poor in our D zone [and I`m especially dissapointed by Monahan`s D game, he seems to lost it completely and this dates back to first round in playoff last season, after that he is like a entirely different player and not just in offensive play].. you don`t need stellar goaltender performances, when your whole team is playing responsible in the D zone and with high level of awareness, but given how we performed so far, we could have had 2 goalies in net at the same time and would not win any more games.. I`m not trying to say our GK is okay, but I think we lost only one game due to bad/unlucky/poor goal and it was againt Jets, when Ramo actually played quite good for 58 minutes.. we are allowing WAAAAAY too many high quality changes and how the hell can we blame goalies for allowing goals off them? most of the time they are doing what they can, but just don`t have any chance.. let me use a methaphore from soccer game: a penalty kick [from 11m] CAN NEVER be saved by goaltender, it CAN ONLY be kicked badly by the player.

so, based on what you stated, should Ramo saved those specific 2 goals, or is he the one to blame? ..you played the game in net, you know you can study as much as you want, but put on your pads, glove and a blocker and it will suddenly all look a bit different..

it`s irrelevant, but I played before amazing and terrible goalies, as well, so I know what difference does it make when you don`t have to worry about every single shot coming at your goalie.. I agree, D zone is never going to be perfect, be ours was far away from it, too.. and, your goalie will also not make the save he has no chance of making.. it`s all connected, it`s not just how our goalies performed and you cannot blame a goalie for every single goal allowed, even though there were plenty of weak goals.. it all comes to this: among all players, your goalie is the last one trying to stop the puck, but he is the only one who cannot score a goal, but you have another 18 players capable of doing so.. [yes, technically, he can, but.. ] yet again, we needed key saves in games, but they just weren`t there to be made most of the times..

this is so amusing.. can you explain, how should he stop [ or, at least, anticipate] the shot deflected accidentaly off the STICK ? he was there for the initial save and he would have stopped that shot from RNH, but there`s no goalie on the world who would save that puck on purpose, knowing where will it go.. and that rocket from Davidson, are you serious? it was a one timer off a perfectly timed pass, it was from the top circle point, and it was A BOMB.. additionally, there was mr. Wideman creating a nice screen right in front of Ramo.. and it went almost perfectly in the top corner, just a couple of inches below.. I guarantee you, even in a perfect scenario, let`s say practice, when there won`t be anyone screening goalie`s vision, a one-timer shot from that point, with such velocity and placed in the top corner above the blocker, nobody will stop it.. 95 times out of 100. how many of you guys have actually stood in net, like ONCE? MOST of the goals we allowed were due to lack of [or very weak] coverage in the D zone.. but having said that, I DO agree with all of you saying our goaltending was not stellar in any game so far and the whole situation with coming to the season with 3 goalies and their rotation by BH caused a lot of unnecessary distraction and should have been addressed way sooner..
