Right now, most of our prospects are not doing well in the AHL.
What makes you think that they will be any better in the NHL?

The Flames are young and young teams generally don't pace themselves very well. Thus, the Flames faded down the stretch last season. Maybe the young guys learned to condition themselves better for this season but i feel the depth is still thin, especially on D. Last year on depth, we had Obrien, Derek Smith, Cundari, Breen, Billins, etc. This year we have Diaz, Wotherspoon, Potter, Cundari, etc. Really not much improved.
They are playing well right now but the true test will be come in late November and into December. I feel the Flames are a bottom 5 team still. Not bad enough to get McDavid or Eichel. Should be in the 4th to 6th overall pick position.
+1
However, if we do not finish in the bottom six, I would like to see the Flames attempt to trade up to draft Hanifin or Kylington.
We definitely lack potential top 2 defense-men prospects.

Hiller definitely stole tonight's game against a strong Chicago team.

You're right.
It is too early.

Hiller would be a good fit with Ramo.
Shared duties unless one of them really steps up.

I'd prefer to see Al Montoya (as a low cost option) or Jonas Hiller (if we need help to meet the cap floor) rather than MacDonald.

I haven't seen enough of Kiefbom to have an informed opinion, but I definitely would not want Petry.
The brain cramps he has in his own zone far outweigh his offensive output.
Mmmmm, that sounds just like Justin Schultz as well.
