I really like Dallas but the more I watch them the more I dislike Hintz. His whining and crying and play acting turns my stomach.

if we want a Rossi type player just draft Catton

Both Lindholm and Zadarov a goal and an assist each. Van is getting their money's worth so far on the trades.

Where would the flames be if we didn't have Markstrom for most of the year?
So correct Without Markstrom this year no Flame fan would be advocating for an equal 16 team lottery representation.

Trade Andersson + Markstrom + Canuck's 1st for OTT's 7th overall and Joshua Norris to make the $ work

Dallas pick would be a 2026 3rd
AHH never saw the 2026 good catch. Against my better judgement I will cheer for the VGK's tonight as ONLY to better upgrade the Flames picks.

So are we hoping for VGK's to win tonight so the 2024 3rd round pick transfers to a 2025 2nd or a Dallas win so they go the the SC and we receive their 2024 3rd rounder?

I hope (expect) Conroy weaponizes our cap space starting this draft. EVERY top team has major players to sign this off season with limited cap space. We could have potentially loaded drafts the next 2 years.

But at the same time, going from Saros to Skinner, Canucks will also have an easier time scoring as well.
Saros made some crazy good saves. Zadorov was such a good move for them, he has fit in nicely. Lindholm has solidified their PK (possibly neutralize the Oil PP) but has done little else. Could see Van not extending Lindholm. I see Edm dominating this series but really could go either way.

I am in inexhaustible favour of the selection, should the implication prevail, that Nikita Artamonov should become available upon our 29th selection in the 2024 NHL hockey draft for young men 18 years of age from September 16 of 2023, yet not exceeding September 15, 2024 birthdates, my good sir. Further, past agreements regarding our international friends and exceeding age limitations shall not be impeded.
Which era do you prefer? lol
As an old fart I understood this. Thanks man LOL and agree

Hello! At 29th? Aw shucks, I guess if I have to. *dramatic exasperated sigh for effect* lol
All day.
Not sure what you're trying to convey here or which direction you are heading as I don't have any teenage daughters and don't speak the post millennial dialect.

As far as trading Kuzmenko! If through circumstances we draft one of Demidov, Silayev, or Artamonov ; Kuzmenko could be crucial to their immergence and success to NA and the Flames organization.

When you have success with that, I don't think it's very savvy to go ahead with, "okay, let's trade him now".
To trade a player for a draft pick that "Might" turn into a player you just traded is poor asset management.

I'm a bit bias for these guys because I know a few of their scouts from different rinks.
First thing that you'll notice is that they don't follow party lines. They're a good group of guys though and do a fair amount of midget scouting also. So a lot of players aren't new to them.

I don't think the NHL will go to unweighted lottery either but I support anything that would discourage a draft advantage to losing games. Maybe the "most points after being officially eliminated" system is worth trying.
Years ago I presented a lottery system that withdrew 10 or 20 % of the lottery percentages given to the non playoff teams. At the end of the season the total number of wins by the 16 non playoff teams after game 41 were counted and divided by that 10 or 20 %. Each win after game 41 would increase your lottery %. Realistically under this system teams could only tank from games 1 to 41.

It's tough choosing which team to cheer for Van or Edm. I just know every time I try to cheer for Edm I get the dry heaves. So for my health and the betterment of those around me. Go Van.
