I was curious as well & have not seen anything on the Flames website. When I look at the Kootenay Ice page for Sept 17th, It mentions it has all 27 players with the exception of two that are in the Habs camp so I figure Negrin is back there. My take is that it was a credit to him that management kept him around for the beginning of main training camp. I would have seen him practice on the weekend and did not notice him as I could not see the numbers on the helmets I was told he was really fast and offensively minded. I am quite interested to see how he does as I was aware of him in the draft. I guess I may have to wait till the Ice come to play the Hitmen.

He also went on the say that one of Negrin's tasks at main camp was to pick a NHL defensemen and watch everything that they did in practice & preseason games & then take that back with him. Of course he picked Phaneuf.
