    Playing Ritchie with Mony/Johnny absolutely fits in this category. It makes no sense. 

    Really ?from what ive seen from ritchie it does.  

    Weve tried every other option. So why not. He can skate he can put the puck in the net. He isn't afraid of hitting.  Remember ferly?

    also cant find hits but pretty sure ritchie has more hits in 5 than Leivo in 20. 
    I haven't liked either leivo or especially simone.   
    glad to see Ritchie get a chance.

    Markstrom ranks a very unimpressive 35th overall in NHL goaltenders, not even the best goalie on this team.   Which isn't a shock because he has ... pretty much Never ranked well but all the Vancouver media insisted he was the NHL's best goalie until the moment he left, and anchored us with a dead weight team killing contract.

    cool.   this is predictably what happens when you pay lots of money to acquire older goalies who historically let in lots of pucks, because the media told you it was a good idea.

     

    Rasmus is a ray of sunshine, on the flip side.   But not much else sunshine to speak of.

     

    I had to bump this thread after 10 games.   20 games in and it's already a hot thread, no bumping necessary.

     

    Basically we're the NHL's Left Winger team.

     

    This thread's Likely going to get hotter.  although we have a couple easy games ahead of us.

    pretty sure mangiapani is our best forward this year. Also tanev and haniffin are a great duo. The downside is our core. Mony and gaudreau  are and have been horrible lately with all the stupid passes being their top choice backlund has been terrible gio has one good game followed by 2 or 3 bad ones. Tkachuk isn't really doung much this year not sure why. Dube has disappeared. Valamaki isn't really doing much to impress me so far. But i do agree ras is  doing good.

    reasons:

    1. Brodie with Gio would put Anderson with Valimaki which is the successor D pair to the Gio Brodie pair, well actually we would have 2 super slid replacements considering Hanifin and Tanev are clicking so good, but the sooner we get Valimaki and Anderson together that’s gonna be a heck of d pair too.

     

    2. Frolik would be great to slot in on RW with Backlund again for the 3rd line shut down with either Manji or Dube on LW...crappy part here is Manji or Dube’s offence number would drop, however, I get the feeling of Dube were to be the LW on that he would be the fore checker and make things troublesome for the opposite side and with Backlund and Frolik’s ability to hold on the the puck, I think this line would frustrate the heck out of teams and actually manage to get decent offensive number. 

     

    3. Janko, to Ctr the 4th line makes ryan very expendable, added to that I think he would slot in  on the 4 line well with Lucic and either Levino or Simon on the RW...not a traditional 4th line crash and bang or a shut down line but more of a balanced line that could do a little bit of everything and hold their own against any other line.

     

    absolutely no interest in any others.

     

     

    Really dont miss brodie at all. Mr turnover is finally gone.

    Gotta say half the team is still on holiday. Tkachuk. Backlund. Gio. Nesterov. Mony. New addition leivo n simon are crap. Lucic slower than ever not sure about Ritich this year nesterov and nordstom are Meh Valamaki isn't what he was looking like he could be. we have a lot of dead weight to carry this year. Hopefully these guys wake up its a 56 game season n were are poopin da bed.  
    oh did i mention the biggest dead wardo. What a useless coach. Im getting really tired of his crap.
