2 of your 3 teams still in the mix....Wish you were here

Still surprised a professional sports team doesn't have x-rays, CT scanners, and MRI's in their medical offices.
You would think having an array of these diagnostic machines would cost much less than Lucy's contract.

Is there supposed to be a picture or something here or perhaps my browser is not compatible.
Maybe it recognizes teams that shall not be named or pictured?

I have to admit not being in many other NHL arenas, especially the new ones but what is so wrong with the Saddledome and sold out games ?
Absolutely nothing wrong with the Saddledome.
The factions that feel we absolutely need one suffer from arena-envy.
Sure, there are some new beautiful arenas out there but the Saddledome is far from being an ugly duckling.

Mr. Smith still saving our checking from behind fairly frequently but that is what you want in a starter on nights when the rest of the team barely gets it done.
Now if the defense can tighten it up a bit more & the offense keeps it going, there will be NO stopping us.
A poor goalie lets in numerous shots that shouldn't have been goals & lets in all the shots that should have been goals.
A OK goalie stops most shots that shouldn't have been goals & stops the rare shot that should have been a goal.
A good goalie stops almost all the shots that shouldn't be goals & stops the occasional shot that should have been a goal.
A great goalie stops all the shots that shouldn't be goals & stops numerous shots that should have been goals.
[Edit - I can't believe a$$ (checking from behind) is still on our censored list. ]

Reminds me of 2 children fighting over a toy!
I just wish they would both get over their "arena envy"
Flames will be still in Calgary long after Nenshi & King have gone on to that "great gig in the sky".

Brian Burke on arenas, tax breaks and moving the team to Quebec - cbc.ca (Jun 07, 4:45 PM MT)
[Excerpt} The president of the Calgary Flames says the team could move without a new arena and that Canadian players should get tax breaks in order to make northern NHL teams more competitive.
Speaking to a crowd at the Canada Club of Calgary, things got heated when an audience member and longtime season ticket holder questioned Brian Burke on a new arena for the Flames and suggested there was nowhere for the team to go.
"You don't think we could find a place to go? With a straight face you're saying that. Let's see. Quebec. Oh yeah they have a brand new building that meets NHL standards," he said to Chris McCrae.
"Quebec. OK you just said we had nowhere to go?"
When pressed by McCrae on why public dollars should be used to finance an arena for the team Burke said "I think most intelligent people get this, sorry … my learned friend."
Looking forward to cheering for the Quebec City Flames.
As for professional athletes on Canadian teams getting a tax break because of the variably mythical higher tax rates and the $CDN when they are paid in $USA - What a ridiculous concept!
Obviously there is a lack of "learned thinking" in the Flames management.
