Too early to tell but Ramo is looking better compared to Hiller in the net.

I feel like they are probably going to keep switching Ramo and Hiller throughout the season; it would be a shame if they just make Ramo as backup for he has a lot of potential for 1st goalie when Hiller's contract is up.
-
Watching Ramo play last night reminded me of good old Kipper days.... Simply amazing 41 saves!!!
With Ramo as 1st and Ortio as backup we have a solid goalies....
Excited to see what Flames will do next year.
-
1- Ramo, 2-Ortio and Macdonald for backing the backup lol....
Ramo is looking better and better if he keeps improving like he is we will have a solid goalie by next year.
-
What I hated about Berra was the fact he was inconsistent he would make amazing saves than let soft ones in....
Too early to say Ortio is better than Ramo in net but based on his past 2 games his doing awesome!

I think Burke made an awesome trade Berra for 2nd pick perfect! With Ortio and Ramo we are good in the net!
-
They confirmed Berra Trade for pick? If so that is awesome news!!! Ramo should get number 1!!
-
Berra makes amazing stop and than lets some easy ones in....... Time to show off Ortio!!!
-
Ortio looked good last night despite the lost.... We need to see more games to see how he is compared to Ramo or Berra.
So far thou for 1st goalie Ramo > Berra
-
The guy is on injury coverage assignment, relax people. He will sit on the bench unless Berra get hurt.
Yeah true but I like to see more prospects trying out at NHL level....this is the year to do it...
-
1st people want to blame berra for most of his loses and get a better goalie, and now that we have Ortio that is just plain outplaying berra(AHL), You guys are wanting to ride berra. Ortio is above the curve on all of our goalies, but he's still only 22, He needs game time not sitting on the bench time.
If Ortio doesnt see a game, I hardly see this as a positive, Sure he gets to sit in net for practice's and such, But as every hockey player as ever said, practices are not game speed whether you want to try and emulate that or not.
Ortio wants to be with the flames so do alot of the Heat players, But if they're not going to get ice time, its a waste of time being up.
Couldn't agree more!!! Ramo is solid and consistent... Berra not so much he makes amazing saves and lets some sloppy ones in... Its not like we are making the playoffs so why not give Ortio 5 games to try out at least!

Ramo sidelined with MCL injury; no timeline yet, not placed on IR yet.
Ortio called up.
I hope he is not subject to waivers if and when he is sent down; 99% sure he isn't.
This should give some idea of what the Flames have in him. I hope he shows well, since he appears to be a better option than Berra.
If he does, Berra will not be re-signed IMHO.
Pretty disappointing with Berra you never know what shot he may let in. :/

Overall performance Ramo > Berra.
-
Ramo gets the start tonight...
Thank GOD!!!
-
Ok last game Berra was pretty bad .... past month has been pretty horrible.... They should give Ramo more games...
-
KIPPER we miss you.... that is all

Ramo has really passed Berra as the flames best option in net. I'm it will be difficult fore Hartley to move past his little project but I think Ramo deserved to get e ball and see if he can run with it. Not impressed by Berra as of late he can't shake giving up bad goals.
I wouldn't really say he has passed Berra they are pretty even.... They both have their good nights and bad nights... and Berra has been picked for Olympics afterall can't be that bad
-
I think the fact he is left off the team, especially behind some of those guys, is telling that Burke's assessment is more widely shared than dismissed.
Good on Berra.
Sven since his been back at Abbostford has played 7 games 2G 0A 2Pts............... 2012-2014 so far has been downslide considering he put in 33G in 47games back in WHL
-
I wasn't suprised about this call. Good luck Berra!!! and umm
"Flames prospect Sven Baertschi has been placed on the Swiss side list." I was hoping Sven would play and play GOOD just to prove Burke wrong.....
-
Have to admit both Ramo and Berra been solid in net! December has been good month for both, now if they continue this trend and our offense picks up we are good to go!
-
Berra continues to make rookie mistakes and allows goals that are completely unacceptable in NHL. The 2nd Boston goal was prime example how can you let goal in from that angel?
Ramo hasn't made many rookie mistakes and is very calm in the net. My fav performance from him is the Chicago game he flew the night before, 1st NHL game and against the former Champs yet he came out big and calm.

Ramo > Berra
-
Berra is doing pretty bad.... second goal against Boston was a joke...
-
Very impressed by Ramo in this past two games. Follows the puck perfectly, very good awareness around his net!

The competition we have between Hiller and Ramo is the top highlight of the team right now.... lets see if similar competition can start in other areas of the team
